Bhagirath's panance and the descent of the Ganges

There was no question of the salvation of the 60 thousand sons of Maharaj Sagar, for the welfare of the people, the descent of the Ganga had become necessary even to quench the thirst of the dry earth and animals. Ordinary work can be done by any ordinary person, who finds a suitable person for it, but a great work can only be accomplished by a self-confessed god. Searching for such souls is a relatively difficult task. Finding a qualified person is half the success. It is like taking tax.

When everyone was retreating to face the hardships of penance and path for the descent of Ganga, then Bhagirath came forward and said--"The needs of the welfare of the world cannot be left unfulfilled. He kept watching the eclipse, but his heart did not melt even a bit for the welfare of the world.

Bhagirath laughed and said -- God is auspicious, why would he think inauspicious, why would he do it, man gets into trouble by mistake and cannot get out of it due to confusion. God sent man as his representative to inspire deluded humanity to rise and to save it from the curse of evil.

Compared to other living beings, the personalities found are proof that man should not limit his selfishness to worldly and materialistic pleasures, but the little time it takes to fulfill his simple needs, all the remaining time should be spent in the welfare of the world. Should be taken for.

Everyone praised his determination and courage. Bhagirath left. He went to the Himalayas and did intense penance. Impressed by his penance, Ganga appeared and said Tat - "Tat! Get up, I have come, I was already ready for the good of the world, but when I descend on the earth, my edge will break the earth and go across. Who will handle that intensity. It took so long to try to solve this problem." Bhagirath was taken aback. That's why Lord Shankar came there and said -- Bhagirath! It is not possible for a man to spend his life in charitable works, and he does not get divine help. Get up, we have gone to you for your help. We will tie the speed of the Ganges with our hair. And will handle the speed of the Ganges.

The Ganga descended and got absorbed in Shiva's hair. Shiva ji gave him a gentle form and made him flow into the earth. When Bhagirath started praising Lord Shiva for his grace, then Lord Shankar said -- "Bhagirath! You have done penance, that's why you are also entitled to the credit. Mankind has not forgotten the ideal and pride of Lokmangal, that's why you get the fruit of this penance." Should be met. From today the name of Ganga ji is named after you as "Bhagirathi". Your ideal will continue to inspire the people of the earth to do penance for the welfare of the people.
